Prospero Teaching is actively seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at a primary school in Rochdale. In this key role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting students in the absence of their regular classroom teachers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping to ensure that all students engage fully in their education.Key Responsibilities:
· Classroom Supervision: Manage and supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
· Lesson Implementation: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, adapting them as necessary to meet the needs of all students.
· Support for Students: Provide individual support to students as needed, helping them to stay engaged and focused during lessons.
· Behaviour Management: Employ effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere.
· Outdoor Supervision: Supervise students during outdoor activities and breaks, ensuring their safety and inclusion.
· Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns or achievements to the classroom teacher or school leadership.
· Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning and behaviour management.
· Safeguarding Practices: Uphold and promote safeguarding policies, always ensuring the safety and welfare of all students.Contract/Position Details:

· End Date: OngoingExperience, Training, and Qualifications:
· Qualifications: A relevant qualification (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification) or equivalent is preferred.
· Experience: Proven experience working in a primary school setting, particularly in a supervisory or support role.
· Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable; however, some training will be provided.Requirements:To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
· Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
· Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
