Teaching Personnel is seeking a strong, flexible, and reliable Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor for positions for a September-start. This role involves being on stand-by in the morning, or on call for positions in Secondary Schools near you. It is a great fit for those interested in working in Education, and who are looking for a more flexible way to work.As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a school setting and develop their skills in classroom management and student support.This position is for the North Manchester, Oldham and Rochdale areas so applicants must either reside in these areas or be able to commute.Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Supporting students with their learning and responding to any questions or concerns.
  • Liaising with teaching staff to ensure seamless delivery of lessons and continuity of education.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and supporting other school activities as required.
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson coverage and student engagement.
  • Being reliable and communicating with both the placement schools and Teaching Personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A degree in any subject.
  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to work.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student learning.
