
Certification Engineering Manager

- Engineering, other science-based qualification or relevant experience.
- Understanding and knowledge of different types and requirements of certification schemes.
- Experience and Knowledge of working in an ISO 17065 accredited environment.
- Knowledge and experience of British, European and International standards which may include but not necessarily be limited to any of the following: EN/IEC 60335 series, EN/IEC 60601 series, EN/IEC 60598 series, EN/IEC 61439 series, EN/IEC 61010 series, EN/IEC 62368 series.
- Commercial acumen and demonstrable experience of developing solutions, in collaboration with commercial colleagues, which meet the needs of clients.
- Inspires and communicates with teams to give clarity on direction, feedback on performance and plan to constantly improve and achieve results.
- Role models the Intertek values and sets a positive example for all employees through professional behaviour and leadership.
- Creates and drives high performance culture through disciplined performance management, ensuring engineers are meeting or exceeding objectives.
- P&L management of team ensuring revenue and profit targets are met through effective resource and cost management.
- Rigorous planning of workload and related activities driving operational performance.
- Represent the company during Certification internal and external quality assessments.
- Recommend the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with Intertek policy, procedures and prescribed timeframe.
- Proactively identifies new and/or amended product standards/directives and ensures Intertek's certification schemes are kept up to date and relevant to current market needs.
