Do you have the resilience, empathy, and determination to support children with additional needs?A welcoming SEN school in Ilford is seeking a dedicated Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, working closely with a pupil who requires tailored, one-to-one support throughout the school day.The Role – Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
- Assist with learning, behaviour, and personal development under the guidance of teachers and therapists.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
- Weekly pay up to £650.
- Full-time, term-time only (Monday–Friday).
- Extensive training in SEN strategies, behaviour management, and communication support.
- Valuable experience for graduates aiming to progress into Educational Psychology, SEN Teaching, or Speech & Language Therapy.
- A recent graduate (Psychology, Education, or related subject preferred).
- Excellent communication skills with patience and empathy.
- Resilient, adaptable, and motivated to work in an SEN school setting.
- Previous SEN or child-related experience is desirable but not essential.
