In this role, you'll lead skilled technicians and contractors on-site, ensuring generators are disassembled, inspected, and reassembled with precision. You'll collaborate closely with clients, site management, and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient, and timely projects-managing priorities and solving challenges as they arise. Each day will take you from hands-on engineering to strategic discussions, all with the goal of driving quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.   • Lead and oversee craft technicians and subcontractors during planned preventative maintenance on hydrogen and air-cooled generators at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
  • Partner with site management to plan and execute work packages, ensuring all activities meet safety, quality, and project deadlines.
  • Provide expert technical advice to customers on generator disassembly and reassembly, resolving technical issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Represent Siemens Energy in meetings with clients and stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and execution processes.
What You Bring
  • HNC/HND in Engineering or a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Around 5 years of technical field experience, including team supervision.
  • In-depth familiarity with hydrogen and air-cooled generators.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking skills with a collaborative and flexible approach.
  • Ability to work confidently both independently and in a team, with good computer literacy.
