- The Cook will be responsible to the Kitchen Manager and for providing kitchen support to the Prep School Catering Department.
- The post-holder will be required to comply with the College Prep School’s Code of Conduct for Staff and Volunteers.
- The College Prep School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
- The post-holder will have access to and be responsible for confidential information and documentation.
- The postholder must ensure confidential or sensitive material is handled appropriately and accurately.
- The post-holder shall participate in the Prep School’s programme of Performance Management and Continuing Professional Development.
- A good level of literacy and numeracy
- Have previous experience in a busy kitchen, with an in-depth knowledge of food preparation, production and service
- Have good oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all staff and students
- A good knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations in relation to food preparation, service and storage
