- Providing high-quality quantity surveying services to clients
- Establishing client requirements for cost planning
- Managing risk, value engineering and cost control measures
- Advising on procurement strategies
- Preparing tender packages and contracts, including bills of quantities
- Analysing tender appraisals and identifying risk areas
- Ensuring projects remain within budget and on track financially
- Preparing budget and progress reports, including cost value reconciliations
- Identifying and responding to commercial risks and assessing cost variations
- Issuing notices in accordance with the contract conditions
- Advising on contractual issues and claims
- Preparing and negotiating final accounts
- Attending and leading project meetings
- Keeping up to date with industry requirements and developments
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to internal training
- Promoting the company and our services in the industry
- Educated to a degree level in Quantity Surveying
- 6+ years Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
- Positive approach to client care and problem solving
- Ability to work alongside Expert Witness and Advisory teams
- Membership of the RICS or working towards membership
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience using CostX software
- Experience in the rail and aviation sectors
