Teaching AssistantLocation: York, North YorkshireSalary: £83 - £100 per dayStart Date: September 2025GSL Education are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work at a Client Primary School, located in York, North Yorkshire, starting September 2025.Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised support to a student with special needs.
  • Work with students on 1:1 or small group basis whenever required.
  • Use appropriate strategies to manage student’s behaviour.
  • Be patient and have a kind and caring approach.
  • Build strong, trusting bonding with student.
  • Provide emotional support during challenging situations.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
  • Experience supporting students with special needs.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS).
  • Experience in education, child development, or mental health support is desirable.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
