
Interim Financial Controller – 12 month FTC

- Lead financial control and compliance across the organisation.
- Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.
- Provide expert advice on VAT and Gift Aid, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage and develop a team of eight finance professionals covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Statutory Accounts, and Treasury.
- Manage and develop the Payroll and Pensions team, ensuring adherence to UK legislation.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support financial planning and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Charity SORP and other relevant accounting standards.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in financial control, audit, and compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards, including Charity SORP.
- Expertise in VAT and Gift Aid within a not-for-profit or complex organisation.
- Experience managing payroll and pensions in line with UK regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate.
