We're seeking a dedicated Hospitality Technician to join a thriving Further Education College in Hayes. You'll play a key role supporting the Professional Cookery and Hospitality courses, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and modern learning environment.Key Responsibilities
- Support the catering team and supervise students in the college's professional kitchen and restaurant.
- Prepare ingredients, maintain stock levels, and keep inventory up to date.
- Assist teaching staff with practical demonstrations.
- Help students plan and deliver themed events and special days.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification in Catering/Hospitality
- Good general education (GCSE or equivalent)
- Experience & Skills:
- Experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Experience with stock control and health & safety compliance
- Ability to maintain accurate records (manual and digital)
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Experience working with learners aged 16-19, ideally in an educational setting
