- Assist in continuous improvement projects
- Day to day support activities but not limited to inspection, sorting, fixture design, assembly
- Assist in measurement system analysis on various gauges
- Use tools and techniques from Six Sigma, Lean, to analyze and solve problems
- Perform hydraulic testing for failure analysis
- Assist with valve and/or test stand troubleshooting
- Assemble/disassemble hydraulic valves and manifolds for failure analysis
- Read/analyze hydraulic prints
- Assist Supplier Quality Engineers with reviews of supplier performance data, in evaluation and validation of supplier change requests along with driving improvements in suppliers delivered quality for both new product and existing products
- Review returned material and verifies customer complaints through root cause analysis
- Assist in maintaining the Supplier Corrective action database
- Assist with test data entry and collection, and statistical analysis
- Create and modify existing systems that track our metrics
- Create, improve on documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, WI, and process flows
- Committed to an engineering college undergraduate or a graduate program
- A minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Coursework and/or experience in setting up databases, SPC, data collection; PC hardware e.g. RS232 interface- preferred
- Coursework and/or experience in statistical analysis, lean tools-must
- Coursework and/or experience in measurement systems-preferred
- Basic experience in 3D modeling; CNC programming is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills- must; MiniTab is preferred
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
