- RSA III / OCR Typewriting/text processing or equivalent typing/ word processing qualification or equivalent experience
- English Language - GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- CLAIT / IBT2 or ECDL Qualification
- Audio Typing qualification
- Experience & knowledge of using a variety of software programmes including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work on own initiative and without direct supervision within procedural guidelines
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, organise workload effectively and to meet deadlines
- Demonstrable secretarial experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Recent audio typing experience
- Willingness to undertake further training and development in accordance with the needs of the service
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
