KnowsleyTemp to PermOur client is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Operative to join their team in Knowsley. This role is key to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented environment for staff and visitors. The successful candidate will be hands-on with general maintenance, decorating, and supporting facilities tasks across the site.Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive repairs as issues arise across the facility
- Perform painting and decorating of both interior and exterior areas
- Support facilities activities such as assembling furniture, moving equipment, and grounds maintenance
- Undertake general maintenance tasks including fixing leaks, repairing windows, repairing furniture, and clearing blockages
- Ensure correct use of materials, equipment, and safety signage in all tasks
- Monitor and report issues promptly, highlighting concerns to the line manager or QHSE Manager as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of all activities, including sign-off sheets
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Work effectively with colleagues across all departments to support operations
- Previous experience in a similar facilities/maintenance role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and reliability in timekeeping
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
