We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Millsike, a category C Prison located in Full Sutton, East Yorkshire.HMP Millsike is a newly built prison with an operational capacity of 1500 places. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.HoursWeekdays: 07:00 - 19:15Weekends: 08:15 - 18:00Rolling 5 week shift pattern, working 1 weekend in 5SalaryThis position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you'll be doingAs a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.

  • NMC Registered nurse – Adult
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
