We challenge ourselves constantly to deliver more for patients, healthcare professionals, our partners, and our employees.The TeamThe Programme Delivery Director is responsible for the end-to-end leadership and successful execution of strategic programmes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role oversees multiple projects, drives delivery excellence, manages stakeholder expectations and ensures programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.Role and ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement programme delivery strategies aligned with business goalsEstablish and maintain governance frameworks to monitor performance, risks, and benefitsProvide executive level updates to Exco, steering committees and key stakeholdersLead large-scale, complex programmes involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholdersManage interdependencies between projects and resolve resource conflicts effectivelyServe as the primary contact for senior stakeholders and vendors, ensuring clear communicationBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to foster collaborationOversee programme budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and return on investmentProactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues with appropriate mitigation plansImplement KPIs and drive continuous improvement through best practices and innovationReport programme status and updates to executive leadership and steering committeesWhat you’ll bringProven background in programme/project management, with experience in a Director level roleExperience in Pharmaceuticals/Life Sciences or regulated industry would be beneficial - ideally with exposure working on projects across a wide range of business unitsProven ability to build business relationships and understanding of different business areasProven track record of delivery large-scale, high budget programmes (£10M+)Strong expertise in PPM methodologies (Prince 2, MSP, Agile, Scrum, SAFe)Expertise in SDLC, DevOps or cloud migrationsExceptional leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsStrategic thinking – ability to align programmes with business goalsDecision Making – strong judgement under pressureInfluence & Leadership – inspires teams and gains executive buy-inFinance Acumen – budgeting, forecasting and cost controlProblem Solving – navigates complexity with structured solutionsWhat we offer in returnFlexible benefits packageOpportunities for learning & development through our varied programmeCollaborative, inclusive work environmentDiversity and inclusionBuilding an inclusive environment where people can thrive, grow and achieve their full potential is a priority.
