Pay: £30.13 per hourAbout the Role: Pembrokeshire County Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Childcare Management Team in Haverfordwest. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality services for children and families, ensuring the best outcomes for those in need of support and protection.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee complex childcare cases, including child protection and court work
- Provide professional leadership, guidance, and support to social work colleagues
- Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to planning and review processes
- Ensure statutory duties are met in accordance with legislation and policy
- Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports for internal and legal proceedings
- Registered with Social Care Wales
- Minimum of 5 years referenceable employment/work history
- Significant post-qualification experience in children's social care
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and childcare legislation
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills
