
Process Development Engineer

- Assist with the design and development of new and existing products and processes in line with customer requirements and regulatory standards
- Support the transfer of products from development to pilot and full production
- Create and maintain documentation including quality plans, FMEAs, risk assessments, SOPs and work instructions
- Provide design support across departments, including concept designs, drawings and technical documentation
- Conduct validation activities in line with internal and customer requirements
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve design and process issues
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and methods to support product development and business needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
- Attend exhibitions and customer meetings, including occasional overseas travel
- Ensure adherence to QMS, HSE and company policies at all times
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering/scientific discipline, or significant experience in a regulated engineering role
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience in an engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, medical devices)
- Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills using SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar
- Knowledge of validation processes and strict regulatory standards
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Awareness of plastics and metals for use in precision engineering
- Knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement methods
- Familiarity with statistical methods for process validation
