At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.We are currently recruiting for a Senior Investment Proposition Analyst to join our team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will analyse performance, maintain fund watchlists, ensure timely and accurate reporting to governance committees and verify funds adhere to the Fund Governance Framework.Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical support to Investment Proposition Analysts in Fund Reviews and Performance analysis.
  • Analysing Investment fund data to validate and recommend actions for funds on the watchlist.
  • Assessing funds vs key criteria, including Cost to Aegon, cost to customer, performance vs benchmark and peer group, investment risk, and importantly customer expectation.
  • Supporting the Investment Oversight team in the development of insights and internal and external reporting on Investment Proposition activities within Aegon UK.
  • Working closely with the Investment Oversight Team, Head of Investment Oversight and other key Business stakeholders to continually develop and refine Aegon UK Investment policies and frameworks.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Ability to meet deadlines and identify data issues or inconsistencies.
  • Knowledge of investment funds, asset classes, fund types, as well as pension providers and platform providers
  • Fund performance analysis experience.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends and inconsistencies and summarise and present results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding of Life & Pension Funds, including performance measurement techniques
  • Experience managing internal & external stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Relevant industry- recognised qualifications are desirable (e.g., IMC).
  • Experience with FE Analytics and Morningstar advantageous
