- To have a degree or working towards degree level
- To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
- COPD or Asthma Diploma
- Non-Medical Prescribing
- Palliative care experience
- Certificate in Spirometry or equivalent
- Extensive post registration experience
- Demonstrate able post registration experience in COPD.
- Experience of working with people with long-term conditions
- Evidence of working effectively and collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries
- Experience and involvement in undertaking audit and or research
- MDT experience
- Knowledge of management of Respiratory conditions
- Previous experience which demonstrates a specialist interest in managing complex Respiratory patients.
- Evidence of COPD national policies, including NICE & GOLD guidance to inform evidence based care and management.
- Knowledge of clinical governance
- Knowledge and understanding of audit
- Presentation skills
- Understanding and experience in managing change and modernisation techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate effectively with the patient, their families and a wide range of health professionals .
- Ability to manage own caseload /workload prioritise effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and keen to take responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to work on own initiative and autonomously
- Ability to support learning and education for patients, carers and families and other allied professionals
- IT competent.
- Ability to adapt to changes in service demand
- Full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
- Audit or research experience or qualification
- Experience of service development and change principles
- Awareness of use of System 1
- Experience of integrated working across teams.
