We have an excellent band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist Job opportunity for someone who is passionate about Oncology, what we are looking for is someone who is highly motivated, knowledgeable, and competent in the field of Oncology to come join our developing team on the A6.Your responsibilities will include providing Oncology treatment information, psychological support, advice on symptom management and on occasion you be expected to help in the delivery of treatment within the unit. You will act as a Key Worker to our oncology patients, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team across the network helping to create and maintain a robust oncology outpatient service.Successful candidates require excellent communication skills, experience in SACT Oncology delivery, with a passion to provide high standards of care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patients pathways, They will be expected to Following UKONs guidelines and SOPs from Weston Park Hospital which will support you to provide appropriate advice to patients and know how and when to escalate when they become unwell.Full time role.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will act as the patients Key Worker throughout their chemotherapy journey, your role will be to ensure that patients are fully prepared prior to commencing treatment in order to prevent delays and relieve anxieties as much as possible.You will be meeting individuals health and wellbeing throughout their cancer journey, as well as providing and receiving complex and sensitive information.
