We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Track Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team, delivering precision technology in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.About the RoleYou'll be part of a close-knit engineering team responsible for the setup, deployment, and operation of advanced data acquisition systems at elite-level motorsport events held across the globe. This is a rare opportunity to work in a live, high-stakes broadcast environment where precision and reliability are everything.From installing sensors and timing systems directly into track surfaces to commissioning and fault-finding complex electronic and networking equipment, your work will be central to the success of live event operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain timing loops, beacons, and temperature sensors in track surfacesCommission and support department hardware/software systems at eventsTroubleshoot electronic, network, and data systems in live environmentsInstall, test, and terminate coaxial and multi-core data cablesSupport and occasionally lead operational activities on-siteMaintain detailed fault logs, reports, and equipment manifestsAssist with system planning and liaise with clients and stakeholdersTravel globally, working outdoors in various climatesWhat You'll NeedSolid understanding of electrical/electronic systems, including CAN protocolsExperience with wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and report writingFamiliarity with PC/network equipment, TCP/IP, and RF-based systemsHands-on skills: soldering, loom building, cable termination, basic mechanical workExcellent teamwork, communication, and time management abilitiesComfortable performing under pressure in time-critical broadcast environmentsA UK driving license and ability to travel extensively (1-3 weeks at a time)Desirable Qualifications & ExperienceHND or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical fieldKnowledge of motorsport telemetry, RF fundamentals, or live data systemsExperience working in live sports, events, or field engineering rolesThis role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, challenge, and working in a high-performance team.
