Our mission is to be the Number 1 Die Casting Company in Europe, to build upon our current customer base and increase market share, and to satisfy customer and shareholder requirements.The role: * Responsible for the management of all personnel within the Quality Department including Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Control Manager.
- Develop and implement plans to launch new products and guarantee quality from product launch.
- Implement systematic reviews of the Quality Department processes and operations to eliminate waste.
- Design and implement quality systems that satisfy customer rating requirements.
- Develop and implement techniques that measure process variability.
- Develop control practices to assure the quality of incoming material.
- Third level qualification in an engineering/ technical discipline
- Candidates with a lesser qualification, plus significant relevant experience will also be considered
- Min. 5 years’ experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Min. 2 years’ experience in a management role in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality management systems, including TS16949 and ISO 9000
- Proven track record in the application of problem solving techniques, e.g. 5 Why, 8D, Six Sigma
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Proven ability to lead and motivate staff
- Strong customer focus and teamwork skills
- Ability to influence continuous improvement at Ryobi and within our customer and supply bases throughout Europe
- Planning, organising and project management skills
- IT literate, and proficient in the use of MS Excel
- Presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
- Ability to see activities through to completion
- Able to travel to suppliers and customers in order to fully satisfy the role
- Experience within the automotive industry
- Experience in managing Quality Assurance amongst a wide range of OEM’s throughout Europe
- Lead Auditor training
- Supplier auditing experience
