- Plan and allocate work to Operators, Process Specialists, and Inspectors.
- Ensure work is progressed efficiently through the shop floor.
- Identify and resolve delays or production issues swiftly.
- Enter customer orders into the manufacturing system and acknowledge orders.
- Coordinate delivery schedules, keeping customers informed.
- Achieve agreed delivery timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Lead, support and develop shop floor teams.
- Approve holidays and manage absence cover.
- Conduct performance appraisals and handle pre-disciplinary matters professionally.
- Act as Safety Officer and champion a safe, clean, and well-maintained working environment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Identify and coordinate staff training needs.
- Ensure timely calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Experience in a production or operations leadership role in manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management standards is essential.
- Familiarity with MRP systems.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communicator who can build rapport at all levels.
