- Develop and execute the UK and Ireland marketing strategy aligned with Wayfair's global priorities and local customer dynamics.
- Own key growth priorities including:
- Customer and traffic acquisition
- Brand awareness and consideration
- Customer retention and loyalty
- Localization of the brand platform and voice
- Sit on the EU Leadership Team, partnering closely with senior executives in Category Management, Pricing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service.
- Act as the key link between local execution and global strategy, collaborating with the Global Marketing organisation, Storefront, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and the commercial leadership team
- Lead all marketing functions across:
- Performance Marketing: Paid Search (Google, Microsoft, CSS), Paid Social (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube), Display/ Programmatic, Affiliates, App Marketing
- Brand & Awareness: TV, OOH, CTV, Audio (Spotify, Netflix), PR, Influencer & Organic Social
- CRM & Retention: Email, Onsite Marketing
- Creative & Production: Video, Copy, Art Direction, Design
- Merchandising & Promotions: Curated campaigns, Offers, and Promotions
- Lead a team of experienced senior managers and directors across marketing domains, with full people leadership and organizational development responsibility
- Manage partnerships with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure delivery excellence across all campaigns.
- Leverage Wayfair's proprietary in-house martech stack and external tools including GBQ, Looker, Excel, Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform.
- Champion a performance-driven culture with rigorous marketing science methodologies:
- Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)
- Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA)
- Incrementality testing and lift measurement
- Drive experimentation and continuous optimization across all channels to maximize impact.
- Extensive senior-level experience in marketing, with a strong foundation in leading strategic and operational marketing functions in leadership roles such as VP, Marketing Director, General Manager, or CMO.
- Proven success in consumer-facing industries, ideally within eCommerce, retail, marketplaces, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale marketing budgets ($50M+) and lead large, cross-functional teams across performance, brand, and creative disciplines.
- Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing: from acquisition to retention to loyalty.
- Fluency in operating in data-rich, technology-led environments, with a collaborative approach to working with analytics, product, and engineering teams.
- The skill in influencing executive stakeholders and collaborating effectively across both global and local teams.
- Strong understanding of the UK and Irish markets, including consumer behaviour and media landscape nuances.
- Technically proficient in using marketing platforms, measurement tools, and data analytics software (e.g. Excel, Looker, Google BigQuery).
- Experience in international or matrixed environments, with the ability to localise global marketing strategies effectively.
- A strong track record in building high-performing, inclusive, and diverse teams, aligned with UK Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles.
