Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours per week)Are you a highly organised finance professional with a passion for accuracy, reconciliation, and process improvement? We're supporting a long-established local business in their search for an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a 3-month temporary contract.If you're confident with supplier accounts, enjoy fast-paced environments, and are looking to make a meaningful contribution, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.What you'll be doing:
- Managing and resolving supplier queries by phone and email
- Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Updating and maintaining supplier accounts across group companies
- Assisting with purchase order process improvements and systems updates
- Supporting cross-functional teams and mentoring junior colleagues where required
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Proven background in a similar purchase ledger or finance role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a busy finance environment
- Familiarity with Business Central (desirable but not essential)
- Proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills
- Flexible team player with a positive attitude
- Competitive pro rata salary up to £40,000 DOE
