Performs musical programs in all lounges and part of show band backing for all shows as required. Maintains his / her musical instrument and musical arrangements. Performs to company standards for all live music.Key Responsibilities
  • Good technical and operational knowledge of their instrument and music required.
  • Ability to perform as required through reading musical charts and arrangements supplied by the company or visiting guest entertainers.
  • Experience working in theatre and concert environments.
  • Attend all scheduled rehearsals in a timely manner with relevant equipment
  • Delivers high energy and interactive entertainment to our guests in line with the Silversea brand, with the ability to accommodate and learn guest song requests.
  • Performs as a band or solo as required at scheduled events including, though not limited to Welcome/
  • First Timers/ Venetian/ Farewell Cocktail parties, social events, special F&B events as scheduled by the ship's management.
  • Provides in coordination with Band Leader a repertoire containing at least two hundred and fifty songs with an extensive mix of classics, showstoppers from Broadway and Top 40 Hits from the 1960s through today, including sing-alongs.
  • Performs acoustically or with tasteful support from harmonizers, loopers, and other similar effects.
  • Carries out all the technical set-ups in public areas with the help/assistance of the technical team.
  • Proactively responds to issues or potential problems quickly and efficiently involving relevant people as required. Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisor. Keeping the Cruise Director promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of significance.
  • Socializes with guests when in public rooms.
  • Incorporates Company service standards, personalized service and sincere hospitality by creating positive experiences for guests, efficiently engaging with guests and anticipating guest needs.
