Nursery Teaching Assistant – Sheffield (S18 & Surrounding Areas)
Start Date: September 2025
Employer: Teaching PersonnelTeaching Personnel are looking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support children in an early years setting within primary schools across Sheffield’s S18 and surrounding areas. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey.The Role:
  • Supporting children aged 3–5 years in a nursery/early years classroom
  • Assisting with play-based learning, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Working alongside the class teacher and nursery staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Providing support for children’s social, emotional, and educational development
  • Helping with daily routines such as snack time, outdoor play, and group activities
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and experience of the EYFS framework
  • A patient, supportive, and positive attitude with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
