
Senior Quantity Surveyor

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and relevant information.
- Develop detailed project budgets, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Monitor project costs throughout the process and identify areas for cost optimisation.
- Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
- Source materials and services from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
- Administer contracts, preparing contract documents, variations, and claims to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Track project expenditure and prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
- Identify and assess project risks, including cost overruns and delays, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement risk management measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or working towards chartered status is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Water/wastewater experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
