I'm currently working with a leading main contractor in the water utilities sector who are seeking an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. This is a key role focused on pre-construction activities, providing commercial leadership through the early stages of projects and frameworks.The Role:
  • Lead the pre-construction commercial function, including contract negotiations, risk reviews, and commercial strategy.
  • Review and negotiate contracts to safeguard the business's commercial position.
  • Support the bid and tendering process, working closely with operational and business development teams.
  • Provide expert advice on NEC and bespoke client contracts.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and partners to ensure clarity of terms and successful contract execution.
About You:
  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor with senior/management-level capability.
  • Strong background in pre-construction, contract negotiation, and commercial risk management.
  • Exposure to water utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
  • Proficient in NEC contracts with a proven track record of managing contract terms effectively.
  • Strong communicator able to influence at all levels.
Location & Travel:
This role can be based in Warrington or carried out with regular travel to Warrington. Flexibility can be considered, but a strong presence with the pre-construction team is essential.Package:
A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, tailored to attract senior-level professionals. This includes:
