Location: Birmingham & Leicester (in-person)About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to oversee two Ofsted-registered residential homes in Birmingham and Leicester, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people, while ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff development.TasksKey Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of two children’s homes (Birmingham & Leicester).
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and support staff teams, ensuring professional growth and development.
- Design and oversee individualised care plans to meet each young person’s emotional and developmental needs.
- Promote safeguarding practices and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
- Monitor performance through audits, incident reviews, and continuous improvement measures.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior or deputy role within a children’s residential home.
- Strong background in supporting children with EBD and challenging behaviours.
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding law, Ofsted standards, and Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Level 4 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- No sponsorship available – applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK (Share Code if applicable).
