- Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the residential childcare facility.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and maintain high standards of care.
- Mentor and support staff in their professional development and ensure effective team management.
- Manage key performance indicators to monitor the quality of care provided.
- Participate in budgeting and financial planning to ensure resource allocation aligns with the home’s goals.
- Implement safety principles to ensure a secure environment for children and staff.
- Engage with children to promote their well-being and emotional development.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including social services and education providers.
- Participate in creating and reviewing care plans tailored to individual children's needs.
- A commitment to providing exceptional care in a residential childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of mentoring principles and experience in team management.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards pertinent to residential childcare environments.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within residential childcare.
- Proven track record in managing budgets and key performance indicators.
- Experience in applying safety principles effectively within a childcare context.
