- Support the HSES Director – support and assisting the HSE function, with action plans, meetings, and technical support.
- Support ISO14001 / ISO45001 internal crossover audits – 3-day internal audit against ISO14001 / 45001 international management standards, must be familiar with HSE management systems and ISO norms and have working knowledge of ISO50001.
- SIP Audits (systemic improvement process)– review audits against the Artifex standards, review SIP at during the integrated audits.
- HSE communications, HSE Alerts, Good Behaviours – writing and preparing communications.
- Tracking open points from audits, investigation reports / roadmaps – collating and reporting findings
- Accident / incident analysis – identify trends and 5 why root cause analysis – collating and reporting findings.
- Process statistical data –reports for the site management team.
- Improvement plans – create improvement plans for continuous improvement & manage the improvement plans.
- Experience in document management – ensuring all documents are controlled according to correct standard.
- Support Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability committee meeting
- Outline and define how the requirements for Health Safety & Environmental, (HSE/EHS), from a management systems point of view will be met. (GDS, global documentation system)
- HSES standards applicable and of customer requirements are permanently met for the site under their responsibility.
- Document the local management system in a manual and documents required. Provide feedback to the HSES Director to provide best practice communications to the UK Group.
- Support in the reporting of audit results and status about related corrective actions.
- Support the HSES Director to ensure that deviations found during internal system audits are closed within the appropriate period.
- Advise the Management Teams their responsibility and the Management Systems Manager about the measures necessary to increase the management systems effectiveness.
- Train and coach plant management team to establish and maintain a documented management system meeting the requirements of ISO14001 / ISO 45001 and other environmental, health & safety standards and customer requirements applicable.
- Support and guide the location during the preparation for 3rd party audits. Is responsible to ensure that deviations found are closed within the appropriate period by the plants under their responsibility and by the plants/departments/positions that they have audited.
- Keep themselves informed on the changes, health safety & environmental legislation, ensuring that new legislation is reviewed and added to legal registers.
- Participate in the Management Review ISO14001/ISO45001 for corporate. Report on HSE status and provide advice on improvement activities.
- Support with implementing actions related to HSES programmes.
- Coach the management team on HSES matters.
- Maintains a good knowledge of all procedures related to their position and activities. Gives personal example of adherence to these procedures. Requires the same from their subordinates. Considers company's policies and procedures knowledge and consistent application as a key element in any individual performance evaluation.
- Clear communication, coaching, and to support employees to address HSES concerns.
- Artifex Interior Systems Policies and Procedures, clear communication of the ZERO Tolerance Policy, transparency, ensuring escalation of HSE concerns to the corporate management team.
- A support function for the UK team.
- Manage and report the sustainability kaizen process.
- Ensure all employees and visitors receive the correct HSES induction, align to group requirements.
- Capture and report incident statistics, identifying trends. Track / drive site corrective action.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, some of which as quality and/or HSE Engineer, or experience in production sector as HSE Manager and/or Specialist.
- Experience in document management – ensuring all documents are controlled according to correct standard.
- Engineer in chemistry, machinery, or mechanics; degree related to environment and/or health & safety; or equivalent education.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 & ISO 45001, of applicable HSE legislation and of customer requirements. Knowledge of ISO/IATF16949.
- Fluent in English.
