- Providing hands on technical assistance to Workshop Engineers as and when required
- Providing assistance to the Workshop Manager with regards to work planning
- Working closely with the Workshop Manager to identify and provide recommendations for closing skill gaps for Workshop Engineers and Apprentices.
- Working with the customer in mind and contributes towards ideas and initiatives that drive the improvement of both internal and external relationships
- Driving increased customer satisfaction by ensuring workmanship delivers a quality as would be expected from a leading manufacturer
- Supporting the administration of the quality control system within the Workshop
- Effectively handling the administration required as part of the role
- Preparing estimates as required
- Promoting a positive and professional image to customers both internal and external, especially in face-to-face discussion at the workshop site
- Providing effective leadership, training and development of direct reports
- Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
- Taking initiative to liaise with other internal departments as appropriate to identify possible opportunities with existing customers
- Identifying opportunities and contribute to winning ideas that further develop systems and processes and improve working practices
- Proactively seeking new opportunities to develop personal skills and looks at opportunities within the Workshop to apply these
- Ensuring that self-image is a key contributor to promoting company business
- To ensure control of job card flow to invoice
- Completion of relevant apprenticeship in similar environment
- Ability to demonstrate application of technical skills in similar industry
- Good communicator at all levels
