We offer a supportive environment and the chance to contribute to a forward-thinking People and Organisational Development team.The role:Talent Pipeline Management: You'll coordinate and manage key talent development programmes, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, internships, and work experience placements.Strategic Support: You'll work with the Talent Management and Reward Manager to implement initiatives that enhance workforce capability, support succession planning, and evaluate the council's employee benefits offer.Data and Reporting: You'll be responsible for monitoring programme performance, conducting research on labour market trends, and providing data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Stakeholder Collaboration: You'll collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen the council's employer brand, support targeted recruitment, and ensure a professional, customer-focused service.What's in it for you?Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:

What we're looking forYou must have a proven track record in an HR, talent management, or recruitment-related role, with specific experience in coordinating apprenticeship and/or graduate programmes within a complex organisation.You must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. A collaborative, "one council" approach is essential.You must be able to analyse and report on benchmarking data, track programme performance, and use these insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for improvement.You must have strong coordination and project management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously. A proactive and adaptable approach, with a keen eye for detail, is crucial.You must have a strong commitment to equal opportunities, with an awareness of how to integrate diversity and inclusion into people management solutions. You should also be dedicated to their own continued professional development.LocationThe job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.Special conditions
  • Chartered membership of the Institute of Personnel and Development or demonstrable equivalent experience.
