Hourly Rate: £12.2120 hours a weekWe are seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive care navigator to join our friendly and dynamic General Practice Team. As a key member of our frontline team, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients - helping them access the right care, at the right time, with the appropriate professional.This is more than a receptionist role. You will be trained in care navigation, a vital skill that ensures sage, timely and appropriate careMain duties of the jobThe Care Navigator is the first point of contact for patients, supporting them in accessing the right care, at the right time, in the right place. This non-clinical role combines administrative and signposting responsibilities with a focus on improving patient experience, reducing pressure on clinical staff, and supporting wider care coordination within the practice and across health and social care networks.About usRichmond Clinic is a small traditional GP led practice. there are 3 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 nurses, 6 care navigators, 2 admin staff, Deputy Practice Manager and Practice Manager.   • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent IT skills, including use of MS Office and patient record systems
  • Empathy, discretion, and a patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
  • Experience working in a healthcare or customer service setting
  • Knowledge of local health, care, and voluntary services
  • Experience using EMIS
  • Understanding of care navigation or signposting frameworks (e.g., Health Education England's competency framework)
