- Meet individuals to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and encourage individuals to engage with substance use treatment
- Create links with stakeholders and local communities and work to target people affected by drugs and alcohol who are hard to reach – those who are at risk of being recalled to prison, those isolated in communities, unaware of services, or who do not feel services are for them
- Attend team meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions
- Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness, signposting to relevant agencies
- Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol use
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills
- Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental toward Service Users
- Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
- Can remain calm under pressure
- Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available
- A willingness to undergo Prison Vetting and MOJ Vetting.
