- Operate a range of woodworking machines including:
- Automatic and manual crosscut saws
- Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists
- Measure, cut, and shape timber and plywood to precise specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Proven experience as a wood machinist in a manufacturing or joinery setting
- Confident operating both manual and automatic crosscut saws
- Strong understanding of timber types and machining techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Awareness of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment
- Stable night shift pattern with long weekends
