Job Description:Operational Trainer - LogisticsLocation: Crick, NorthamptonshireSalary: Competitive + BenefitsContract: Full-time, PermanentShifts: Day Shift (Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00)Join the UK’s leading pet food manufacturer and help shape the future of training at Inspired Pet Nutrition (IPN).We are looking for a passionate and organised Operational Trainer to support our Logistics teams in delivering high-quality, consistent performance across our operations. You’ll play a key role in onboarding new starters, delivering capability training, maintaining training records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct capability assessments and confirm competency of logistics colleagues.
  • Deliver hands-on training and support for colleagues needing additional development.
  • Collaborate with Area Managers, ASLs, and Team Leaders to identify training needs.
  • Maintain and update skills matrices and training records to audit-ready standards.
  • Support the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Deliver refresher training and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Contribute to new process introductions, trials, and improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt programs based on feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in training, coaching, or buddying within a Logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of Logistics processes and a passion for driving quality.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A ‘Train the Trainer’ and/or Assessor qualification (or willingness to work toward).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Working Hours:
  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
These will be your core hours however flexibility will be required to ensure all our Logistics team are trained across our 3 shifts. Days, lates and nights.Why join us
