Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)About the Role:We are working with a vibrant and inclusive school in Winslow seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their pastoral support team. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing personality and experience (or interest) in working with children who struggle with emotional regulation, anxiety, and behaviour.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with SEMH on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Help implement targeted interventions and behaviour support plans
- Work closely with classroom staff to adapt learning to suit individual needs
- Support students in building social skills, emotional awareness, and resilience
- Help children manage anxiety, transitions, and emotional triggers
- Liaise with families and other professionals to provide holistic support
- Experience supporting SEMH or SEN students in any setting (school, youth work, care, etc.)
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
- DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Any relevant training (e.g. attachment, trauma-informed approaches) is a bonus
