- Contributing to the build, maintenance, and verification of hydraulic network models, including flow and pressure surveys, as part of the Operational Hydraulic Modelling team.
- Supporting hydraulic modelling specialists in developing solutions and advising teams across Asset Management, Capital Delivery, and Clean Water Production.
- Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to help shape operational and investment decisions.
- Assisting with water quality modelling at reservoir sites to optimise water transfer strategies, maintain reservoir turnover, and minimise impacts on customers, leakage, and energy.
- Reviewing and resolving model calibration anomalies with support from the Systems Optimisation team and field resources.
- Helping to design system reconfiguration schemes and support leakage reduction through calmer network operations.
- Supporting BAU solutions to address DG2 low-pressure and supply interruption risks.
- Assisting with solutions for emergency operational incidents where needed.
- Hybrid – Kemble Court, RG2 6AD – some travel will be required as part of the role responsibilities.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or an environmental discipline, with a strong interest in hydraulic modelling and the water industry.
- Experience with GIS is essential, with familiarity with Infowater, InfoWorks, or IW Live tools being desirable.
- Ability to interpret complex data, draw conclusions, and make informed recommendations across strategic projects.
- Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality, modelling-led solutions.
- Proficient in IT, numeracy, and data analysis, with attention to detail.
- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel across our operational area for site visits and meetings to support outputs and gain field experience.
