This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils who face emotional and behavioural challenges in their education.Role Overview:As a Secondary SEMH TA, you will support secondary-aged students with SEMH needs in managing their emotions, building resilience, and achieving both personal and academic growth.Responsibilities as a Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
- Foster a nurturing, positive learning environment tailored to individual pupils.
- Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and classroom engagement.
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to support student development.
- Maintain clear boundaries and consistent routines for pupils.
- Experience working with young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A full UK driving licence with business insurance (essential for off-site activities or travel between sites).
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
