- Drive the strategic direction of their commercial lighting product portfolio, taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle from concept development to market launch and beyond.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape, translating findings into actionable product strategies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, design, marketing, and sales to ensure successful execution of product plans and meet business objectives.
- Define product requirements, create product roadmaps, and manage product development timelines, balancing technical feasibility, customer expectations, and market demands.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into product improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring maximum product visibility and customer engagement.
- Conduct regular product performance evaluations and post-launch analysis to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous product innovation.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to commercial lighting, sharing knowledge and insights with the team as appropriate.
- Be a successful Product Manager within Commercial lighting, with a demonstratable track record of achievement
- Posses circa 5+ years experience working successfully for a reputable lighting brand in a similar position that operates on a B2B basis
- Relevant knowledge & understanding of the existing UK Commercial Lighting Market
- Demonstrable capability of product marketing and portfolio management techniques
- Strong collaborative skills - able to work and positively influence cross functionally
- Capable & confident communicator - both written & verbally to match the audience
- Highly organised - with project planning, prioritisation & time management skills
- Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
- Aspiration for quality & keen eye for detail - challenges to aim for the highest standards
- Creative & innovative - to ensure maximum impact of marketing activity
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills & general IT skills
