As a TA, this role offers the chance to work closely with teachers and pupils, supporting academic progress, social growth, and emotional well-being within an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide classroom support to the teacher during lessons and learning activities.
- Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and other subject areas across the curriculum.
- Offer 1:1 or small-group support to children who may require additional help.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement in learning.
- Help maintain classroom organisation, resources, and displays.
- Record observations of pupil progress to help inform planning.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are upheld at all times.
- Experience supporting children in an educational setting is desirable.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
