About the Role As a Teaching Assistant in Bedminster, you will: • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs. • Use effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to help children regulate their emotions. • Work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to maintain a structured, nurturing learning environment. • Encourage pupils to engage with learning, while building positive peer and adult relationships. • Promote independence, resilience, and self-confidence in every child you support. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant who: • Has experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional learning needs (highly desirable). • Remains calm, patient, and proactive when working with children who need extra support. • Possesses strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills. • Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team. • Demonstrates a genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
