Psychology Graduate - Mental Health SupportA mental health school in Oxford is currently seeking a Mental Health Support Assistant to join their dedicated team.

About the role:As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you'll work closely with students who may present with anxiety, dysregulation, or behavioural challenges rooted in trauma. You will help them develop emotional regulation skills, re-engage with learning, and build confidence in their relationships and self-worth.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group emotional and academic support
  • Helping students develop positive coping strategies and resilience
  • Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation using trauma-informed practices
  • Supporting students through personalised learning and wellbeing plans
The ideal Mental Health Support Assistant will:
  • Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs, behavioural challenges, or mental health concerns
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and emotional resilience
  • Be proactive and flexible in responding to students' individual needs
  • Be committed to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all students
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate
