Oliver James have partnered with an expanding business located in Manchester who are looking for a driven Management Accountant ready to dive into the numbers and help shape key business decisions. You’ll be reporting into the Commercial Finance team, owning management accounts across multiple divisions, and working closely with senior leaders to deliver insights that matter.As you grow in the role, so will your scope, this is more than just month-end.What you’ll do:Own monthly management accounts for a range of P&L cost centresAnalyse revenue and costs, flag variances, and tell the story behind the numbersHandle invoice journals, prepayments, accruals, and other month-end dutiesKeep balance sheet reconciliations tight and tidyLead budgeting, forecasting, and internal/external reportingSpot ways to streamline processes and improve systemsFile VAT returns accurately and on timeMeet with Execs and budget holders to review financial performanceWhat you’ll need:Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (nice to have)Solid understanding of stock accountingAnalytical mindset with strong numeracyAdvanced Excel skillsDetail-oriented, with a passion for improving processesExcellent communication skills as you’ll be liaising with finance and non-finance teams alikeGreat at juggling priorities and meeting deadlines
