- Supporting the timely preparation of monthly and weekly Group financial reports including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Full ownership of areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet, providing detailed analysis and commentary.
- Responsible for reconciling intercompany accounts.
- Support providing forecasts and budget information to the key stakeholders in line with the timetable and working with the FP&A manager.
- Calculating prepayments and accruals.
- Conduct regular meetings with cost centre owners to review their monthly results including providing detailed analysis and commentary.
- Supporting the on-boarding of acquisitions into the finance system and processes.
- Supporting the external audit and preparation of the Group's statutory accounts.
- Supporting the preparation of group tax information.
- Identify areas for process improvements and automation; support the implementing of streamlined financial process and procedures.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support key business decisions and drive financial performance.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop and monitor financial plans, budgets, and cost-control measures.
- Assist Group Financial Controller and Group CFO with ad-hoc projects as required.
- Support the development of Finance team members.
- Support UAT testing of system changes effecting finance.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or Part Qualified at final exam stage.
- 5 years plus general ledger experience
- Experiencing preparing management accounts
- Experience in Group Finance function
- Experience of supporting multiple finance systems and projects
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven demonstrable background collaborating with a senior team.
- Proficiency of creating analyses and interpreting financial information
- Energetic, detail oriented, with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
