- NNEB/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or relevant experience
- Diploma in Health Screening
- ECA or OSCE in Hearing Screening
- Good understanding of the principles of confidentiality
- Basic understanding of importance of early intervention in child care and newborn hearing screening
- Knoweldge of NHSP
- Evidence of self directed study/personal development
- Experience of dealing with members of the public face to face
- Working with people in a diverse community
- Able to work as a member of a team and individually, including lone working
- Good communication skills written, verbal, electronic
- Good IT/KEYBOARD SKILLS & able to use packages such as Word, Outlook, Excel
- Able to work using own initiative
- Experience of working in a hospital or community health setting
- Experience of working with mothers and babies
- Ability to handle newborn babies, including premature babies
- Excellent organisational skills
- Motivated, with a flexible and co-operative approach
- Hardworking and reliable
- Demonstrates respect for others feelings, views, and circumstances
