Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Enfield
Empower learners as they grow in independence and curiosity.Protocol Education is partnering with a well-led and welcoming primary school in Enfield to find a proactive and nurturing Year 4 Teaching Assistant. Starting in September 2025, this is a full-time, term-time role ideal for someone who enjoys the balance of academic support and meaningful pupil relationships.Location: Enfield
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time, term time only
Pay: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience)The Role:In Year 4, pupils are building confidence and starting to connect the dots—linking ideas across subjects, forming opinions, and asking brilliant questions. As a TA, you’ll support their journey with a steady presence and thoughtful interventions, helping them tackle more complex learning while keeping their spark alive.Your Responsibilities:
  • Assist with lesson delivery across the curriculum, especially in English and maths
  • Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning
  • Help manage behaviour with empathy and consistency
  • Foster pupils’ independence and emotional development
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive, structured environment
What You’ll Bring:
  • Previous experience in KS2 support (Year 4 experience welcome but not essential)
  • A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or relevant education background
  • Confidence supporting reading, writing, and numeracy skills
  • Strong communication, patience, and a sense of humour
