Are you looking to join a new role in 2024Teaching personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching assistant to help support the teaching staff to develop and provide quality learning for pupils with special education needs. This will range from a wide variety of physical, emotional and behavioural needs, you will help to encourage pupils to be engaged and interested to make them feel safe and happy in a learning environment.What we offer!

Main roles and responsibilities -
  • Support pupils with varying SEN, ASD, SEMH, Physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Help assist the lead teacher enable each pupil to access their curriculum.
  • Engage with playground activities.
  • Support and encourage the development of pupil’s education.
  • Look after pupils physical, emotional and social welfare.
  • Keep records and attend review meetings.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians.
  • 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 support.
  • Ensure children’s safety at all times.
Key skills and requirements -
  • Have experience working with SEN pupils with ASD and SEMH.
  • The ability to build report and relationships well.
  • Friendly and compassionate.
  • Patient.
  • Resilient.
  • Sensitivity and understanding.
  • Understanding SEN needs.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Confident working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
